During Fire Prevention Week in October, the Brookhaven Fire Department hosted seminars at both Headquarters and Station One.  The purpose of Fire Prevention Week is to inform the public on how to protect and deter fires in the home.  Some subjects covered were EDITH, Stop-Drop-Roll, and Get Out - Stay Out.  Members also demonstrated the proper use of a fire extinguisher, how to put out a stove fire, and vehicle extrication.
